Galena Country Fair is always held the weekend of Columbus Day Weekend.
Is there a fee to attend the fair?
The suggested donation at the gate is $3. Galena Country Fair is a volunteer-organized event. Event proceeds are returned to the community through grants and donations to not-for-profit organizations from throughout Jo Daviess County. All donations are appreciated.
Are dogs allowed in the park?
We love Fido just as much as the next person; however, please leave your pets at home for this event. Only individually-trained Service Dogs that are trained to work or perform tasks may be in Grant Park during this event. Emotional support animals are not recognized as service dogs by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We appreciate your cooperation.
What happens if there is inclement weather?
The fair is held rain or shine. There is no rain date or alternate indoor site. History has shown that Galena Country Fair customers are a hearty and loyal group.
Are there ATMs in the park?
Yes! There are two ATMs in the park on the weekend of the fair. One is located near the Grab 'N Go tent and the other is at the back of the park by the white Pavillion.
Can I drive to Grant Park?
Vehicle access to Grant Park is altered slightly on Galena Country Fair weekend. The intersection of Park Avenue and Highway 20 is closed. Whether approaching the Galena area from the east or west on Highway 20, look for signs directing vehicles to the paid parking lot. Traffic flows in one direction from the intersection of Highway 20 and Bouthillier Street towards the paid lot.
Is there parking at the Old Train Depot?
Paid parking is available in the City of Galena's parking lot (91 Bouthillier St.) located on the east side of the Galena River near the Old Train Depot. Vehicles may access the paid parking lot from the intersection of Highway 20 and Bouthillier Street. Traffic flows in one direction on Bouthillier Street and has direct access to the paid lot.
Where is accessible parking?
A very limited number of accessible parking spots are located at the Old Train Depot building's parking lot at 101 Bouthillier Street (corner of Park Avenue and Bouthillier Street). All traffic flows in one direction from the intersection of Highway 20 down Bouthillier Street. At the intersection of Bouthillier Street and Park Avenue show the traffic/parking individual your accessible parking permit and, if any spots are available, you will be directed towards the accessible parking area. Note: Accessible parking is not available on Johnson Street.
Is there a fee to park?
There is free all-day parking available at three remote parking lots. There is limited paid parking available at the City of Galena's parking lot (91 Bouthillier St.) located near the Old Train Depot. Vehicles may access the paid parking lot from the intersection of Highway 20 and Bouthillier Street. All traffic flows in one direction towards the paid lot.

Where are the bathrooms located?
Portable restrooms are located at the southwest and northeast ends of Grant Park. An accessible portable restroom is located near Johnson Street and on the opposite side of the park near the large pavilion.

Permanent public restrooms are located in downtown Galena at Galena City Hall, 101 Green St., and Hello Galena!, 121 N. Commerce St.
