Galena Country Fair offers a unique fundraising program to Jo Daviess County not-for-profit organizations.
The annual event relies on the assistance of hundreds of local volunteers. Without volunteers, the fair wouldn't happen. Volunteers are an integral part of the event and help with many aspects including food and beverage booths, gates, children's games, the raffle, and silent auction.
Volunteering at Galena Country Fair is an easy way for an organization to earn money to use towards their cause. For every hour a volunteer works at Galena Country Fair, he or she can designate a $10 donation to be given to a Jo Daviess County not-for-profit organization of his or her choice.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
#1 Establish a Group Leader: Once an organization decides to participate, a group leader should be chosen. The group leader will communicate with Galena Country Fair's volunteer coordinator on behalf of the group.
#2 Review the List of Available Shifts: The fair's volunteer coordinator will provide a list of volunteer shifts that are currently unfilled to the group leader.
#3 Organize your Group: Once the group leader has the volunteer shift list, it's time to start talking to the members of your group and picking volunteer shifts. Remember to encourage your members to reach out to their friends and family to volunteer too! The more the merrier! An added plus — the potential for earning is directly related to the number of volunteers an organization can recruit to work on its behalf.
#4 Sign up for Shifts: Submit first and second choices for each of person of your group and include the day, shift time and volunteer location. Shifts are filled first come, first serve so it's best to give the fair's volunteer coordinator a few options for every person of your group.
